PRESIDENT OF HONDURAS VOWS TO PROTECT ‘THE LOST CITY OF THE MONKEY GOD’

Our expedition to the Mosquitia jungle not only inspired the documentary The Lost City Of The Monkey God, it also made us passionate about preserving that vulnerable region. So we were thrilled to hear that on November 8, 2018 the Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández and the minister of the Institute of Forest Conservation (ICF) Director Arnaldo Bueso announced the government’s commitment to protecting the Mosquitia and its people with an initiative called SOS Honduras: Stop the Destruction of the Forest. Read more about the initiative in Wildlife Conservation Society’s article.
