Please join us on June 2nd for National Gun Violence Awareness Day

As an executive producer of Making A Killing: Guns, Greed and the NRA, Bill Benenson and Benenson Productions are proud to support the WearOrange organization and its efforts to end to gun violence. We encourage you to join the cause and wear orange this Thursday June 2nd.

This marks the 2nd annual National Gun Violence Awareness Day and it all started with a group of Chicago teens, who wanted to honor the life of their beloved friend, Hadiya Pendleton, who was shot to death in 2013, just a week after marching in President Obama’s 2nd inaugural parade. Her friends decided to commemorate her life by wearing orange, a color worn by hunters in the woods to protect themselves and others. Last year, millions of Americans joined Hadiya’s friends and Everytown for Gun Safety including celebrities such as Julianne Moore, Tom Hanks, Russell Simmons and others.

This Thursday, June 2nd, wear orange and host a screening of Making A Killing to make a stand against gun violence.
