Take Action

In the heart of Honduras’ Mosquitia jungle (aka Moskitia) lies a place of legend; the recently rediscovered ‘Lost City’ site (aka Kaha Kamasa) — one of the most significant archeological discoveries of this century. That forest, featured in The Lost City of the Monkey God, is part of the second largest wilderness area in Mesoamerica and one of the most unique wild places on the planet. It harbors unexplored ruins, provides a refuge for iconic and threatened wildlife, and is one of Central America’s most important strongholds of indigenous cultures.

Yet this region, encompassing forests in both Honduras and Nicaragua, is one of the most threatened in Central America.

Global Wildlife Conservation, Wildlife Conservation Society, and the Kaha Kamasa Foundation have created an unprecedented alliance to protect the forest that surrounds the ‘Lost City’ and its unique and critically endangered natural and cultural heritage.

Please donate today to support the protection of this unique place.
